INSCAPE: Perceive is a spinoff showcase of INSCAPE’s second edition INSCAPE: NEW HOMEOSTASIS featuring two installations and an opening night performance by Korean artist Kohui. Exploring the concept of homeostasis—the process by which a living system maintains stability despite external disturbances—these works highlight the imbalance between our material civilization and humanity’s capacity to make sense of it while exploring advances in technology, the climate crisis and our post-pandemic landscape.
NSCAPE : Perceive est une exposition dérivée de la deuxième édition d'INSCAPE, INSCAPE : NEW HOMEOSTASIS, avec deux installations et une performance de l'artiste coréen Kohui lors de la soirée d'ouverture. - Curating cross-border collaborations: INSCAPE: NEW HOMEOSTASIS
- This panel discussion explores the theme “New Homeostasis in Post-Pandemic Humanity,” which has inspired the creation of eight meticulously crafted audiovisual performances. Bringing together the INSCAPE curator and artists in conversation with MUTEK’s General and Artistic Director, this conversation provides insights into the creative processes of Canadian and South Korean artists, while highlighting the challenges and benefits of international co-production.
Cette conversation explore la « Nouvelle homéostasie dans une humanité post-pandémique », le thème ayant inspiré la création des huit performances audiovisuelles méticuleusement élaborées pour INSCAPE. Réunissant le commissaire et les artistes derrière le projet lors d’une conversation avec le directeur général et artistique de MUTEK, ce panel offre un aperçu inédit des processus créatifs des artistes canadien·ne·s et sud-coréen·ne·s, tout en abordant les défis et les avantages de la coproduction internationale.
